Description
Multilayer pipes for underfloor heating (Al-PEX cross-linked polyethylene and Al-PERT) with an aluminium core are the standard for modern underfloor heating installations, as well as for radiator heating and domestic water installations. They combine the best properties of plastic (flexibility and corrosion resistance) and metal (strength and shape stability).
The inner and outer layers are made of plastic, with an aluminium (Al) layer in between. The aluminium layer plays a key role: it acts as a 100% oxygen barrier (preventing oxygen from entering the system) and greatly reduces the linear thermal expansion of the pipe.
Main features:
- easy installation: easy to bend and handle while retaining the desired shape, which reduces the need for fittings,
- long service life: design service life of over 50 years under optimal operating conditions,
- smooth inner walls: no scale build-up and no hydraulic losses (friction resistance).
Available diameters: 16, 18, 20, 25 and 32 mm. The pipes are supplied as standard in coils of 50, 100 and 200 m (depending on the diameter).
